LINDSEY SHAW

Lindsey Shaw was born on May 10 in Lincoln, Nebraska.  By the time she was 12, she was in Los Angeles, California pursuing her dream of acting.

At age 6, her mother, Barb, took her to an open talent call which resulted in local representation in Lincoln.  Shortly thereafter, Lindsey was given the opportunity to pursue larger markets in Omaha and Kansas City where she was hired for local print ads and commercials.  From there, she participated in a weekend talent expo in Dallas, Texas where she was invited by the Suzelle Agency to spend the following summer in New York City.   Two months later, in June 2000, Lindsey and her mother traveled to New York for the summer.  While there, Lindsey continued to build her resume, doing more print work and a radio spot for the U.S. Open.  After declining an offer to stay in the Big Apple, Lindsey returned to Lincoln in latter August 2000 to start 6th grade at St. Peter’s School.

In the spring of 2001, while still being represented by the I & I Modeling and Talent Agency in Kansas City, Missouri, Lindsey was invited to Los Angeles by one of their talent managers, Trina Lewis.  In July 2001, Lindsey and her mother accepted the invitation and traveled to Los Angeles for 3-weeks.  At the end of that trial period, Lindsey and her mother went back to Nebraska to make preparations to move to Los Angeles on a more permanent basis.  On January 12, 2002, Lindsey and her mother were back in LA.  Within the first month of being in Los Angeles, Lindsey was referred to acting teacher, Jeremiah Comey, who in turn referred her to manager, Pat Cutler.  She continues to work closely with both Jeremiah and Pat and considers each of them to be invaluable to her success.

Lindsey finished middle school at St. Francis Xavier School in Burbank.  She attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks for her freshman year.  Due to scheduling conflicts, she was forced to continue her schooling through Laurel Springs home school program.  These conflicts were a result of her role as the female lead in the Nickelodeon hit show, “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.”

After three seasons, “Ned’s” wrapped in May 2006.  Lindsey is currently working on a series for the CW Network, “Aliens In America,” which premieres on October 1, 2007.
